RESEARCH
Before the lesson we had to follow a tutorial about Processing, the programming language for Artist, on https://hello.processing.org/ . I genuinely found it a fun way to learn how to draw with programming, even though I was already familiar with this concept. I would strongly suggest following this FREE tutorial if you are interested in both art and computers or programming! At the end you even get a certificate with your name on it!

During the tutorial we had to try it out, so I made these 2 drawings:

EXPERIMENT
In the first part of the class we had to write a code based on some instructions we got.  We for example had to make a second eclipse that would move the opposite way of the mouse. Or make the size of the eclipse random so it would change all the time, do the same with the colours. Or make these 2 variables depended on the position of your mouse. Make it so you would only draw when you pressed the mouse button.

EXPERIMENT
In the second part we made a mouse, yes, a mouse. We used a programmed bord with some wires to make the mouse move up, down, to the left and the right and to be able to press the button, just by touching the end of the wires. This was honestly so much fun to make.
Then we could attach all kinds of stuff to the ends of the wires. Everything was possible, as long as it would hold at least a tiny bit of electricity.
Things like:

• graphite pencils
• water
• fruit + vegetables
• water-soaked materials
• aluminium foil
• people
• bare wire
• soda cans
• metal rulers

This were the 2 settings I made as a mouse:

REFLECTION: Personally, I found the second one to work better, mainly because it was smaller and more together.
